Thank you to everyone who responded to our appeal for black pants. Delighted to say we received more than the 3,000 target and we’re still receiving the black pants we need. Going forward, we’ll always have a need for black pants sizes 8 to 10-12, in full brief, mini or high leg styles. These pants are needed for the organisations we’re working with to supply hygiene packs to schoolgirls to help them stay in school, so please keep them coming.

This month, 8,290 pairs of new pants have made it to Africa or started their journey. 7,590 pairs of pants are on their way to Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi and Sierra Leone thanks to The Gloag Foundation – pants for the children that Kenya Children’s Homes support in Kenya, and pants for the ladies being treated by Freedom from Fistula in Madagascar, Malawi and Sierra Leone. We’ve also managed to get 700 pairs of pants to Tanzania thanks to The Tumaini Fund.

The Tumaini Fund is one of the organisations that we supply with pants for the hygiene kits. It was wonderful to get feedback from The Tumaini Fund from a girl called Joyce who attends Kirusha secondary school in Ngara, Kagera. Joyce said, “Now I can go to school every day, just like the boys!”
