Home > Talking Pants > Talking Pants – November 2011

25,987 is the new overall total.

I’ve had some fantastic feedback about our new website, thanks to everyone who has taken the time to look and feedback.

On 23 October I received a lovely email from Rebecca at Mamma La Rocca (maternity and nursing specialist) saying they wanted to help spread the word about the work of Smalls and they haveposted a message about Smalls on their website. Thanks to everyone at Mamma La Rocca for taking an interest in Smalls and supporting us. Their website is www.mammalarocca.co.ukif you would like to have a look.

Spree books are still being sold, for every book sold Smalls receives £7. Thanks to everyone who has bought a book, and to those people who have been out there drumming up business. I’ve used vouchers in Pizza Express, Frankie and Benny’s, Timpson and The Cramond Brig so have repaid the cost of the book and into save mode. I’ve had really positive feedback, think the most impressive saving I’ve heard so far was from Stella when she used her voucher for Tusitala and saved £33! Wished I’d known about Spree books last year and then I wouldn’t have organised a certain calendar! We are selling them until 21 December so hurry and buy a copy. Perfect Christmas present?

A few people have asked if there was going to be another calendar this year, absolutley not! However, we will be selling a canvas shopper bag that will have a print on it that is unmistakably Smalls. Yes a BIG pair of pants! Thanks to Sarah Scott for designing the bag and her patience in getting the pants just right. I hope to have these available from the end of November. All profits will go towards the education fund for the girls next year.

Thanks to everyone for donating underwear, Sylvia Aitchison, Moyra Allen, Francesca and Alicia Gurner, Mamma La Rocca, my colleagues in Royal London in Wilmslow and to those people who sent parcels but didn’t give their names. Thanks also to the “pants mules” – Graham McCreadie and Neil Heydon-Dumbleton – who have willingly carried pants from Wilmslow to Edinburgh!

And finally thanks to Rachel Clark, Rosslyn Barr, Moyra Allen and Elizabeth Donald for their monetary donations.
