Overall total is 365,438

Over the last 6 years Smalls has grown more than I could ever have expected or hoped for.  Going from doing a one off collection in 2009 when I hoped to collect 2000 pairs of pants, to collecting 365,438 pairs of pants and bras is just unbelievable.  As is the fact that we have managed to distribute 229,757 pants and bras since we started.  This year alone we have managed to distribute 103,240 pants and bras which is our biggest year ever.  This is thanks to everyone who keeps donating underwear and to the people who support the distribution in Africa.  And of course the wonderful volunteers who come along and open, sort and bag the underwear and all the other volunteers who work in the background to make sure the day to day running of Smalls goes smoothly.

Here’s a link to our latest thank you post, and we are still opening parcels every week so if you don’t see your name please look for it on the next monthly thank you post.

When I set up Smalls I never imagined that I’d get anywhere close to this amount of underwear or be able to send children to school.   But the kindness and generosity of people has been amazing and we are now paying for the education of 27 girls in Kenya, and 350 preschool children in Malawi.  Thanks to everyone who has helped raise over £700 towards their school fees for next year.  We are running “Gift of Education” until end of December.

Thanks also to everyone who has helped us raise just over £1200 so far, via Easyfundraising.  If you would like to help raise funds when you shop online with M&S, Tesco, Amazon and many more please click here.

I’m sometimes overwhelmed by the support for Smalls and I feel very fortunate that so many of you choose to support Smalls when there are so many other charities and worthwhile causes needing support.  Thank you for all you do!

I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2017!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Best wishes for a pantastic 2017.
